Prize rules

The short version: play Cold lead. If you top the leaderboard at the end of the month with a score of 25 or more, you win a website for your business, built by me. If nobody reaches 25, nobody wins that month. It’s free to enter and you don’t need to buy anything.

Who can enter

• You’re 18 or older.
• You own or run a business: owner, co-owner, founder or managing director.
• One player per person. Several emails for the same person means none of them can win.
• Not open to me, my family or anyone who works with me on client projects.
• Not open where the law doesn’t allow it.

How to enter

• Join the leaderboard on the Cold lead page with your name, email and business name. Entry is free and doesn’t depend on booking a call or buying anything.
• Practice games don’t count. One ranked game per player per day counts, and the day resets at midnight UTC.
• Only a finished ranked game (all ten emails) gets a score.

When it runs

Each calendar month is its own contest, from 00:00 UTC on the first day to 23:59 UTC on the last. The leaderboard starts fresh every month.

How the winner is picked

• To win, your best ranked game that month needs a score of at least 25.00.
• The highest qualifying score on the leaderboard when the month ends wins. If two scores tie, whoever finished their game first wins.
• If no one reaches 25.00 that month, there’s no winner and no prize for that month.
• Scores are worked out on the server, not in your browser.
• I can remove scores that come from cheating, scripts or bots, several accounts, or a bug in the game.

Winning

• I’ll email the winner within 7 days of the month ending, at the email they entered.
• The winner has 14 days to reply and confirm they meet the rules above. If they don’t, the prize goes to the next player on the board with 25.00 or more, if there is one.
• With the winner’s permission, I’ll mention the win on this site using their first name and business name.

The prize

• A website for the winner’s business, designed and built by me. Before any work starts, we agree on a call what it includes.
• The domain name, hosting and any paid tools the site needs are the winner’s to cover.
• The prize can’t be swapped for cash or given to someone else.

Your information

What you enter to join is used to run the leaderboard and to contact the winner. The board only shows your first name, last initial and business name. The privacy policy has the details.

Changes

I may change or end the contest. Changes never apply to a month that has already ended, and the date at the top of this page changes when the rules do.
